About UsBeginning in 2013, graduate employees at UConn decided to unionize due to stagnant wages, increasing workloads, and increasing student fees.

Our Goal
We are a strong member-run, member-led union fighting for the rights of graduate employees and postdocs at the University of Connecticut! In addition to bargaining for better working conditions in a strong contract, we enforce the contract, educate our members about their rights and benefits, and advocate for our workers at the local, state, and federal level.

Birth of the Union
Bylaws
Bylaws are the rules by which our union operates and can be modified or amended with the approval of the union membership. Submission of our bylaws to our parent union, the UAW, is required to ensure compliance with current bylaws and constitutional provision.
