What is collective bargaining?
Collective bargaining is the process of a group of people working together through a union to use their combined power to negotiate a labor contract that determines various terms of employment such as pay, benefits, paid leave, and more. The labor contract that is produced from collective bargaining is reviewed and approved at the state and/or federal level. Thus, the labor contract is enforceable by law and represents a binding document that outlines the rights of workers in that unit
